Location.The Palace Hvar is the oldest hotel in Hvar, with its imposing stone columns and archways, set directly on the bay flanked by the cathedral and theatre. The property is located one kilometre from the Franciscan monastery and five kilometres from the Paklinski Islands. Split Kastela Airport is located 75 kilometres away, a two hour drive.
Hotel Features.The wellness centre at The Palace Hvar features aromatherapy and Swedish massage, a sauna, beauty treatments and an outdoor swimming pool. The concierge can help plan sightseeing excursions, and guests can use the wireless Internet access in air conditioned public areas. The bar serves a wide selection of drinks and cocktails, while further amenities include conference and banqueting facilities, a 24 hour front desk and concierge services.
The Palace Hvar offers two restaurants: Palm Restaurant serves national specialities accompanied by live jazz music and has a terrace overlooking the city and harbour, and the Caf� Pjaca offers modern dishes accompanied by an extensive wine list with a terrace above the town square.
Guestrooms. The 74 guestrooms, over four floors, have traditional decor and matching furnishings. Amenities include balconies, cable television, minibars, multi line phones and shower/tub combinations.
Expert Tip. The 15th century Franciscan monastery, one kilometre from the hotel, offers a fine collection of Venetian paintings. The 16th century fortress is set on the hill high above Hvar Town and is two kilometres away.

Getting there. Buses run to Split Harbour, and from here guests can take a speedboat to Hvar city. Rental cars are also available at the airport. A typical taxi fare to the hotel is around 300 KN. Hvar Town can be easily explored on foot, and buses run to other parts of the island.
